Welcome back everyone! I'm going to tell you a story of a business that never was, a business that never really became. So it was one of the locals and her boyfriend. They had the idea to start a business providing an essential service to the locals. Like any business they were trying to fill a need, and that need was for entertainment.
Everyone is interested in Free TV from Satellite. 2 years ago a company named I-Link released their I-Link 9000 FTA receiver as well as their I-Link 9500 HD FTA receiver. These were two of the most underrated FTA receievers on the market. Nobody really took notice of them and I-Link carved out a niche market in a market flooded by other manufacturers.
In 2011 both the I-Link 9000 and the I-Link 9500 HD were discontinued. Everyone was very saddened by this as their I-Link receivers were the hidden gem among FTA receivers. Then 2012 came along and an announcement was made in early 2012. I-link would be coming out with 2 new FTA receivers for 2012. The I-Link 9100 or ILink 9100 as its sometimes called replaces the I-Link 9000.
The I-Link 9600 HD or as its sometimes referred to as the ILink 9600 HD replaces the I-Link 9500 HD. It's almost as if the folks at I-Link decided to pick up right where they left off and come out with a brand new line of FTA receivers that build on everything learned by the prior 2 models.
So living on the island they started to fulfill this need and then upon realizing there would be ongoing work involved they promptly gave it up to somebody else who took over and happily maintained what was built up for them for free. The moral of this story is think about what you are going to do, before you go ahead and do it. When they ask you who, you tell them Frack Rizzo, that's who!
